Italian Christmas cookies

Do you want to go back to tradition? Replace the log with ricotta cheese and lemon!

*Ingredients :

°1 bag of Betty Crocker Sugar  Mix

°1/2 C flour

°1/2 cup (125 ml) softened butter

°1/2 C skimmed-ricotta cheese

°10 ml (2 teaspoons) lemon peel

°10 ml (2 teaspoons) lemon juice

°1 egg

°2 C  powder sugar

°60 to 75 ml (4 to 5 tablespoons) lemon juice

* Steps :


Preheat oven 175°C (350°F). In  bowl, stir biscuit ingredients to soft dough forms.


With floured hands, shape the dough into 2.5 cm balls. Place the balls about 2.5 cm apart on an un-greased baking-sheet. Baking for 10 to 14 min or to they turning light brown. Let cool for 3 minutes before transferring cookies to wire racks. Let it cool completely for 20 minutes.


In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and lemon juice until the frosting is smooth and easy to spread. spread frosting on cookies; Immediately sprinkle with candy sprinkles. Store at room temperature in a tightly closed container.
